It’s definitely not a good day for the Texas Rangers. The team endured two injuries within a short span punching the Game 4 prospects in the gut. First, it was Max Scherzer who had to exit Game 3 mid-way due to a tight back indicative of a potential back injury. But the Lone Stars suffered yet again.

With Adolis Garcia grabbing his oblique as he made his swing, he was clearly in pain. Immediately after making contact with the ball, the 30-year-old fell prey to his injury and exited the game. Now one question remains, will these premature exits impact them going into Game 4?

Well, while the situation of the injury is still unknown, in a recent tweet by @BobNightengale some more details were revealed. Adolis Garcia was seen progressing toward the next course of action after his injury. His tweet said, “Oh-oh. Texas Rangers star Adolis Garcia just walked out of the ballpark in street clothes, presumably to undergo tests on his left side”. With that, one is left speculating about what is up next for the Texas Rangers. Game 3 is at 1-3 with Arizona Diamondbacks trying to catch up. That said, one awaits more updates on the upcoming Game 4 on Tuesday.

Post the game, manager Bruce Bochy said, “We’re being optimistic there but we’ll know more tomorrow“. Game 3 was a total cliffhanger, especially after Garcia’s exit. The two-time All-Star Garcia, dressed in street clothes, left Chase Field. Additionally, tests will be performed to assess the extent of an apparent oblique injury. Bochy informed the media that it’s only 24 hours later that the Rangers will provide more information.

With that, one cannot ignore what happened to Max Scherzer for whom 2023 World Series looks cloudy. Reportedly, Scherzer’s back “locked up” during the game, making it impossible for him to throw the ball effectively.

What Happened To Max Scherzer ?

The 39-year-old, the future Hall of Famer, had pitched three scoreless innings with one strikeout and two hits and two walks allowed. Scherzer even said that he could only determine the status for the rest of the series over the course of the next two to three days. The seasoned player has slight chances to be eligible to start a potential Game 7.

The damage is said to have happened when Alek Thomas batted and it struck Scherzer in the lower back. Speculations say that Scherzer’s back tightness might have come from the quick reflexive movement he made or from the impact itself. Only time will text what’s next for Max.
