A ray of sunshine came for the former Dodgers pitcher last night. His suspension from the game of 324 games was reduced to 194. As a result, the 31-year-old got reinstated immediately. The pitcher’s suspension came after months of investigation into sexual assault claims against him. And now when he is back in the MLB scene, baseball fans are nothing but excited about his return.
And now, the Dodgers ace’s reinstation has given his team 14 days to decide whether they want to retain their player or release him, which has sent MLB fans into a frenzy for wanting him to sign for their favorite franchise. The pitcher is none other than the 2020s NL Cy Young Award winner, Trevor Bauer. While his team may have two weeks to decide his fate, his fans are pleased to know that his suspension got reduced.

Trevor, you are my 4 year old daughter’s role model. Please bring her joy by coming back to play baseball. We knew you were innocent since day 1 and it’s a shame you even had to go through this. Continue being an inspiration to all young girls around the world.

Glad you're back. I know you messed up, but the 2yr suspension was crazy to me when 1) you had all the text history and published it, and 2) the courts found you innocent

Even though fans and Bauer are excited about the upcoming MLB season, it is still not clear which team the former Dodgers star will play in 2023. Given he is just 31, one can easily say that there is still 5-6 years of prime baseball left in Bauer. Only time will tell where Bauer will land this offseason.

Where did Bauer play before the Dodgers?
Making his MLB debut in 2012 for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Bauer got sent back to the Minor Leagues after playing a few games for his team. In the off-season that year, Bauer was part of a trade that sent him to the Cleveland Indians, where he played until the 2019 season. Soon as that season ended, he became a free agent.
After courting offers from multiple MLB teams, Bauer then signed a three-year deal with the LA Dodgers for $102 million. After having one great season with the Dodgers in 2020, in June next season, he got charged with a sexual assault allegation. Which then led him to get suspended for 394 games. But the arbitrator reduced that ban to 194 games. Also, this means if the Dodgers want, he could be on the roster for the upcoming MLB season.
