New York Yankees icon Alex Rodriguez achieved many accolades in his 22-year-long career in Major League Baseball. Although he won several accolades while bossing the ballparks, winning the 2009 World Series with the Yanks would top anything for A-Rod. And when talking about his personal life, in the same year, he had a mix of great and not-so-great moments. 

When the Bronx Bombers won their 27th World Series, A-Rod was dating Hollywood actress Kate Hudson. The actress had also thrown A-Rod a grand birthday party, all while motivating the Yankees for going for their 27th trophy. But not long after the team won, the couple was said to have shared a romantic moment, which the media wrote a story about. Apparently, this did not sit right with the actress. And she lashed out at the paparazzi for not writing their headlines properly.

Being a popular actress in Hollywood, it is common for Hudson to appear for interviews in major magazines. Therefore, when in December 2009, she sat down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she spoke about various things. While doing so, she also talked about her then-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.

“I quickly kissed the cheek. And I remember one of the headlines the next day said, ‘Makeout Session.’ What is wrong with people?” said the actress. 

Hudson did not like the fact that the media made such a big thing of a short and intimate moment between her and her ex-boyfriend. Also, she was pretty vocal about the incident.

Who did Alex Rodriguez date before Hudson?

Before dating Hudson, and after separating from his ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, the former Yankee is said to have dated only two women. One of which is the “Like a Virgin” singer, Madonna, who is also the apparent reason for Rodriguez’s marriage falling apart. However, the iconic singer has denied having any sort of relationship with the ex-athlete. But at the same time, sources said that Rodriguez and his alleged affair was the reason behind Scurtis wanting a divorce.

After the short and rumored affair with the singer, Rodriguez is said to have dated the actress Bethany Frankel in 2009. The businessman came close to settling down with JLo. But then, as it fell apart, there are no signs of that happening anytime soon.
