Beyond a mere recreational activity, baseball represents a sport of hope, aspirations, and dreams. Situated in the heart of East-Central Africa, the sport reached catcher Kasumba Dennis, who is an ardent fanatic of the sport today. And after long years of hard work and persistent effort, Kasumba Dennis’ efforts have paid out, as the Ugandan prepares to hop onto a flight to the United States of America, where his MLB dream will reach closer to fruition.

Dennis is primarily a catcher, but he also plays at third base in the infield and in the outfield as indicated by his Twitter bio. However, he hasn’t ever had easy access to quality baseball equipment, or any baseball equipment. World Series-winning pitcher Justin Verlander’s brother, Ben Verlander, managed to find Kasumba Dennis, who practiced his pitching with bricks, and made the decision to invest money in him.
