Justin Turner’s Wife Kourtney Turner Makes Personal History in Her Latest Boston Marathon Appearance

The Boston Marathon 2023 is here and runners and non-runners alike have laced up their cleats. An annual race that a number of cities in the greater Boston area host together, the marathon is an exciting event for many. It’s a chance for people to only keep healthy but engage in a fun, competitive environment. Traditionally, the marathon is held on the third Monday of April, AKA Patriots Day. A rather historic event, the only year it didn’t take place was 2020 because the world was closed.

Now that it’s back with another edition, hundreds of Bostoners will be taking part. One of them will be the wife of Boston Red Sox slugger Justin Turner. The third baseman recently made it back to his beloved game after a scary injury. But he kept himself busy – in fact, the Justin Turner Foundation got selected for the Los Angeles marathon for the sixth year in a row. And it seems it has turned his wife, Kourtney, into quite the marathoner.

It’s the slugger’s first season with the Boston Red Sox. Before this, Turner played for the LA Dodgers, so the couple stayed in the city. Kourtney participated in the LA marathon for her husband’s charity organization a few weeks ago. And now that she’s in a new city, Mrs. Turner decided to run once again, this time for the Boston Red Sox Foundation.

Since marathons usually cover a wide area, not everyone is able to finish it. But according to Kourtney’s latest Instagram post, she’s a ‘proud finisher’. And she even set a new personal record! According to Boston Athletic Association’s website, Turner placed 25746 overall, with a finish gun time at 05:30:46.

Turner wasn’t able to come to support his wife at the race due to a game at Fenway Park. But he sent his love through social media!

Kourtney Turner is now a proud Bostoner

A recent resident of the Massachusetts city, Mrs. Turner is already a proud local. ?Just being able to see the city on display in such a way and all of the people who come out for it,? she said recently.

Turner also spoke about how running for a greater cause makes her feel, which is undoubtedly a feeling many share. ?You can’t help but feel overwhelmed. That sense of pride and accomplishment in running for something bigger than yourself. It?s really, really a special feeling.”?
