Alex Rodriguez might not be the best baseball player in the ballpark; but the former New York Yankees legend, was inarguably the wisest player in the game. However, year 2014 was quite tumultuous for Rodriguez. It is not a secret that Major League Baseball handed a one-year suspension in the 2014 season.

Although MLB suspended A-Rod only for a year, this one-year ban almost ruined his legacy in MLB. Since MLB had banned A-Rod for a season, the then-Yankees slugger, was not in the public eye. But A-Rod made a unique move to re-enter the sports matrix.
Alex Rodriguez started making more public appearances at several sporting events to gain public attention
Had it not been for the PEDs suspension, A-Rod would have been in the same company as Babe Ruth, Derek Jeter, Mickey Mantle, and a few more Yankees. But it is a pity that Alex Rodriguez is not there because of a mistake that he did in his younger days.

When talking about the time when A-Rod was about to come out of his MLB suspension, the then-Yankees star, started making public appearances in several games to become the epicenter of the MLB world once again.
Per a New York Post report from 2014, A-Rod appeared in the Dallas Cowboys v/s New York Giants game. He even made it to a few college football games.

Although it was a wise move from A-Rod to become a mainstream baseball player, which he did, the PEDs suspension also made him take early retirement from the game. Debuted in 1994, A-Rod retired from baseball in 2016.
