Aaron Judge is just unstoppable at the moment. After yet another stunning display in the much-anticipated match-up between two MLB juggernauts, Judge did not disappoint. In fact, even his teammates are incredibly impressed. The Los Angeles Dodgers vs New York Yankees series is now at a tie and Sunday’s game will decide who emerges as the final victor. But nothing is changed for Judge, as he is continuing with his stellar performance game after game.

In the previous West Coast series against the Seattle Mariners, Judge robbed Teoscar Hernandez of a home run in an impressive fashion. He then proceeded to do the same thing against the Dodgers, while also adding a home run of his own into the mix. And even Gerrit Cole is in awe of his captain.

Cole played a well enough game yesterday and allowed four hits and one run while walking two and striking out five. A South Californian native, the pitcher had to exit after 80 pitches, a season-low, due to cramping. But luckily the rest of the Yanks were in top form, including Aaron Judge. The reigning AL MVP is now only second in line for most home runs this year after Pete Alonso of the New York Mets.

After smashing his 19th long ball of the season in the sixth inning, Judge came back in the eighth to rob the Dodgers of one. The LA team’s designated hitter J. D. Martinez launched what looked to be a home run, but he didn’t account for Judge in the outfield. All-Rise crashed into the bullpen gate, catching the ball, but he did it. This is not the first time Judge has made some outstanding plays, and Cole knows it.

The pitcher told Yankees’ beat reporter Greg Joyce, “I’ll tell you what: There’s some great players in this series, no doubt. Couple Hall of Famers on the other side as well. But he’s just on another level.” The longtime teammates clearly hold nothing but respect for each other! Judge is making a strong case for yet another MVP title this year, despite Shohei Ohtani’s prowess.

Baseball season is only a quarter of the way through but The New York Post‘s Jon Heyman thinks Judge is deserving of the MVP title once again. Especially after the last amazing couple of catches he has made. After breaking Roger Maris’ single-season home run record last year, it couldn’t have gone to anyone but the Yankees captain. However, the LA Angels’ Shohei Ohtani has been a strong contender with his record-breaking performances as well. The heated fan debate rages on.
