Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez were two of the best hitters of their time in Major League Baseball. Although the two played for the same MLB team for over ten years, A-Rod and Jeter know each other since the late 90s when A-Rod was a Mariners hitter.

It is also true that things became complicated between the two rising MLB stars when A-Rod made some derogatory comment about his close friend and the Yankees star Derek Jeter. However, A-Rod tried his best to sort it out with Jeter right after his comments.

Derek Jeter spilled the tea on his beef with future teammate and Alex Rodriguez

In 2004, the then-New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter sat for an interview with Diane K. Shah of Playboy, where he discussed various aspects of his personal and professional life. While doing so, the Yankees legend also opened up about his rift with Alex Rodriguez.

When asked about the conversation with A-Rod, Jeter said it got sorted out the day A-Rod made those harsh comments. And it was the end of that topic for both MLB stars.

“It was spring training, and he actually came over here the night that came out. Just came by. We talked about it, and that was basically the end of it,” Derek Jeter said to Playboy in 2004.

Those who might not be aware of what A-Rod said, the young MLB slugger had said that Jeter achieved success because he had a better squad that he did not have to do much.

Is everything alright between A-Rod and Jeter?

Even though Jeter and A-Rod have confirmed multiple times there is no rift between the ex-Yankees, their friendship has never been the same since then.

Later, in 2004, even when A-Rod made his way to the Yankees clubhouse, he could not develop his relationship with Jeter. However, now that they do not play the game anymore, A-Rod and Jeter have made several appearances together on different occasions.
