Unlike any other sport, baseball fans and players always try to bridge the gap between them. To mark their love for their favorite baseball star, MLB fans often try to access everything related to their beloved stars. Be it some signed bats, balls, or even their portraits, fans are willing to get their hands on any stuff related to their favorite players.

Most recently, a charity event gave a similar opportunity to the fans in which Aaron Judge’s painting was up for grabs. It received a brilliant response, as fans bid to have their hand on the painting. But to fans’ dismay, the winner of the auction happened to be someone close to Judge himself. Any guesses on who is this person? Let’s find out!

It was Josh Donaldson who made the biggest effort during the auction. His bid also becomes special, being the teammate of the Yankees star. BAT1STA shared this news on Twitter. “Me bidding $5,000 for the Judge painting the judge said he would sign. Right before the bidding war between Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, and Josh Donaldson. The eventual winner was Josh Donaldson at $16K”, – the caption read.

It was a charity event where the painting was painted live during the dinner. The event ended with bidding in which Gerrit Cole, Nestor Cortes, and Josh Donaldson. were involved. It was a fair battle between the concerned parties. ” At the end of the day, all of it goes to charity, so everyone is a winner. Props to Donaldson.” BAT1STA added.

Donaldson is currently suffering from a hamstring injury. His last appearance came in April and has been out of action since then. In five games of the season, he has a home run and an RBI to his name. The player will go through some intensive exercises before starting his rehab. Donaldson will look to come back stronger soon and join Aaron Judge to help his team fight for the championship.
