New York Yankees Fan-Favorite Calls for USA to Support His Niece’s Ultimate Dream

Jose Trevino, a catcher for the New York Yankees in the 2023 season as well, knows that a little kindness can go a long way. His toy drive was a way to give back to his community, which is charming in its own way. 

But his generosity doesn’t stop there. Trevino, recently in Robstown, was with his niece, helping her with her softball ventures. He went above and beyond to promote the team on social media and encourage donations for their trip to the World Series.

Jose Trevino is a father of two and he recently welcomed his second kid last year. The Yankees catcher is no stranger to the importance of being a positive role model. He recently demonstrated this by lending his support to his niece’s softball team, going above and beyond to promote their fundraising efforts for a trip to the World Series. Not only is Trevino a dedicated father, but he also sets a shining example for the young athletes in his life. 

This is what the caption he put in the photograph, “Hey South Texas if y’all are by the fairgrounds in Robstown today and you see this face smiling at you don’t be afraid to drop a dollar in her helmet. This is my niece and their team is raising money to go to the World Series!”

The photograph had Trevino’s niece holding a big poster, which said, “STX Madness Softball thanks you for your donations!”

According to their Facebook page, STX Madness Softball is an organization that is focused on the development of girls at any level wanting to better themselves at the sport. The girls in the team are full of life, character and energy, and love for each other. This readily brings us to the topic of Women’s leagues in baseball.

While there isn’t a baseball equivalent to Major League Baseball, there are several efforts to promote and celebrate the talents of women in baseball. The Baseball for All movement also aims to provide opportunities for girls to play at all levels. 

One of the most exciting and competitive tournaments is the Women’s Baseball World Cup. Since its debut in 2004, organized by the World Baseball Confederation, the United States has dominated the tournament. But in recent years, Japan has made a strong push to win the most recent tournament in 2018. The next edition of the Women’s Baseball World Cup is set to take place in 2024. With new countries participating in the tournament, it’s sure to be an exciting showdown for the world’s top female baseball players.
