While Aaron Judge and his free agency continue to steal the limelight around MLB town, another Yankee walks into the spotlight by pulling off an extremely heartwarming and alluring gesture with a little league team from Texas.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Jose Trevino has always held a soft spot for the Uvalde Little League team. And his love for the little league team was displayed last evening when the Pinstripes catcher surprised the kids and planned an entire evening for them.
Jose Trevino found the better half of New Yorkers with this heartening gesture
As reported by MLB, Trevino entered the team’s group picture in a stretch limousine, before taking them to Six Flags, which the catcher rented out for the kids. Shortly before Trevino made his way to the scene, he shot a small video in the car.

And he said, “Hey, what’s up guys? This is Jose Trevino catcher for the New York Yankees. We’re about to surprise some of my Uvalde friends. They have no clue I’m here, they have no clue what we’re doing today. We’re about to have some fun. Before we take a picture…”
Shortly after, the catcher entered the team picture and what followed were shrieks of surprise from the kids.

At the event, Trevino added a very gratifying message for the kids, and said, “I plan on supporting them as much as I can, whatever they need, and whenever they need it.”
How did arriving in New York change Trevino’s career trajectory?
During the 2022 offseason, the New York Yankees traded Albert Abreu and Robert Ahlstrom in exchange for Jose Trevino. Since Trevino made his MLB debut in 2018 with the Rangers, his list of accolades and presence as a whole was quite silent.
