This was a massive move by the Yankees’ Golden Glove-winning catcher as he encouraged the younger generation. But it is in his nature to do good. In December last year, he surprised a Little League team with an amazing gesture. Although his gestures off the field have been amazing, Trevino is struggling at times on the field.

Jose Trevino’s struggles with the bat

Jose Trevino is an elite defensive catcher. He has excellent command behind the plate and earned himself the Platinum Glove award along with a Golden Glove award in 2022. But his batting was on par with the league average. But this year, he has struggled with the bat, in spite of his defensive superiority. Furthermore, he dealt with injuries during Spring Training and in May as well. It will be interesting to see how his batting improves as the season progresses.
