Baseball icon Alex Rodriguez earned countless accolades to his name in his lengthy, storied career in MLB. While doing so, he not only became friends with some of the country’s most influential people and athletes but also got into decade-long conflicts with a few. A couple of those people would be the Hall of Famer Derek Jeter and two times world champion Jose Canseco. However, one was bigger than ever, dragging it to almost two decades. It was with none other than ‘The Chemist,’ aka Jose Canseco.

All of it had started with Canseco’s memoir, Vindicate. Therein, the former athlete had written about his hate for A-Rod and how Rodriguez took steroids to make his game better. Since then, Canseco has publicly made many strikes on Rodriguez and has also challenged him to a fight in the ring. One such strike occurred in 2019 when Canseco involved A-Rod’s ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez, but it all backfired on him.

Not long after Alex and JLo got engaged in 2019, Canseco accused A-Rod of cheating on Lopez with his ex-wife, Jessica. While wanting to tell JLo the truth about Rodriguez, Canseco put his personal phone number on his Twitter handle. However, Canseco’s little trick backfired on him as soon as he put out his contact.

Notably, thousands of voicemails, texts, and calls started pouring on the contact he shared. But as fate would have it, Canseco and his story, which looked like coming straight from a daily soap, had multiple twists and turns. Not many people favored Canseco, and as it turned out, the number Canseco shared was of his girlfriend at the time, Morgan Sterlow.

People started bashing the author of Vindicated for resorting to such lows to prove himself. Meanwhile, the accused in this whole drama, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez, was watching all of it unfold.

Canseco has wishes for everyone except Rodriguez

Almost three years ago, Canseco put out a tweet on Easter stating, “Happy Easter to everyone except Alex Rodriguez.” Not long ago, he tweeted another cryptic tweet saying, “Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone except you know who.”
