The Boston Red Sox recently signed Jorge Alfaro to a minor league deal. He will act as a third catcher that they can call up if needed. Furthermore, he was also named MVP for the Finals Series. MLB insider Hector Gomez shared informed the same via Twitter.

In a Tweet, Gomez said, ?Jorge Alfaro was named MVP of the Dominican Winter League Final Series.? This will come as good news to Red Sox fans who have been disappointed with the team as of late. Although this won?t guarantee that Alfaro plays in the MLB, it will increase his chances.
