Morosi said, “A trade is perhaps still unlikely, but possible. And what has changed I believe in recent days is the Angels have discussed internally as an organization and realized that with where they’re at in the standings, while the standard to move Shohei is going to be extraordinarily high they have no choice but to listen to the inquiries that are coming in.”
This could open the floodgates for teams to send in their trade offers. Several franchises may trade for him in the hopes of re-signing him in free agency. Baseball and Ohtani’s fans have shared their observations and thoughts on this latest update.

The latest update has divided fans on the Shohei Ohtani trade possibility. The risk of trading for him to lose him in free agency is too high for confident supporters. Some fans shut down the idea of a trade happening altogether.

Jon…..seems like a team might be giving up a lot for a rental unless they are able to sign him long term. Seems like Otani’s camp will want to go through the FA process to gauge the rt fit long term
