DJ Khaled is spreading some good in the world. With his We The Best Foundation, the All I Do Is Win rapper recently hosted his first-ever charity golf tournament. For this year’s edition, some of his famous high school friends joined him. Among them was a former baseball player from the New York Yankees, Johnny Damon. The former slugger also is an ex-teammate of Alex Rodriguez, and the duo won the 2009 World Series with the Pinstripers.

Damon and A-Rod’s relationship is one of the more uncommon ones. Although the two have taken shots at each other in the media before, the duo has rekindled a friendship. Damon even reunited with his former Yankee teammate recently, but he had some goodwill to impart first.

In one of the most bizarre instances of world clashing, Khaled’s event brought together some familiar faces from different parts of the country. On July 20th, the musician held his ‘We the Best Foundation X Jordan Golf Classic’ in Miami. Among the famous names were Johnny Damon, singers Luis Fonsi and Joey Fatone, and Joe Mulvihill from Livewire Entertainment.

The strangest coincidence of all was, perhaps, that these big names went to the same high school. As the caption on Damon’s Instagram post reads, “Pretty wild to think that we all attended the same Highschool! 📚🎤🎼” How proud must their alma mater feel!

Luis Fonsi also shared pictures from the event on his social media, congratulating Khaled and his organization for the good work. We The Best Foundation, supports non-profits aimed at the welfare of the next generation, and Fonsi is clearly a proud friend.

“Congrats to my brother @djkhaled and @wethebestfoundation for an amazing event and, more importantly, raising money for the kids. Great golf and it was a Dr. Phillips High School reunion 🙌🏼” he wrote. To which Damon enthusiastically replied, “Reunited 🤝”

It would be interesting to see these personalities clash in a friendly manner, of course, on national television once again.
