While surprising things happen on the baseball diamond, some happen mid-air. After spending two weeks on the road, traveling from Anaheim to Seattle to Tampa Bay to now Baltimore, the Texas Rangers arrived home late Sunday night. Though the Rangers could not be on top in the AL West Division, they are slaying their postseason run.
Before taking on the top-seeded Baltimore Orioles in the ALDS, the Rangers swept the Tampa Bay Rays in the wild-card round on the road. With that, Texas entered Baltimore and dominated their way to two victories. Now, as they return home with an opportunity to take the series in their favor, they coincidently met their rivals high up in the sky.

The Rangers have had a rather topsy-turvy experience this year. Manager Bruce Bochy has appropriately summed up the emotion that currently prevail in the team. He emoted, “Bumpy, exciting. It’s been an emotional roller coaster. So that’s never easy to handle”.
Texas is now on a mission. They want to be out there winning as many games as they can to bag the World Series title. While the Rangers marinate in the so-far-so-good feeling, this little tidbit is worth noting.
En route home, Sunday night, the Texan plane had former Minnesota Twin Joey Gallo on board. While the two planes’ paths intersected in a dreamy world, one could only hope that Gallo waved at his former teammates. Well, the fans expressed a similar desire on social media too.

Some fans tried to logically explain why Rangers might have a chance to win the WS.
Isn’t that just because they’re the only team currently up 2-0??
