Jennifer Lopez Uncovers Ben Affleck’s Bold Move Soon After Her Breakup With MLB Legend Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez

Bennifer came back together after a long time of spending almost two decades apart. Back then, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were a couple in the tabloids every week. At the end of their relationship, the pressure then became intense that they could not handle it, and they eventually broke up their engagement in 2004.

The couple was loved by the public then, and now even more. Having said that their coming together after 17 years was long awaited by their fans. They came back after getting out of relationships. And if it wasn’t for the Batman Vs Superman actor reaching out to Lopez, maybe they would not have been together again.

Jennifer had broken up with the former baseball player Alex Rodriguez in April 2021. She and Alex were together for four years. Shortly after her breakup with A-Rod, an email from Affleck changed her life; and brought back an old love that was still fresh. 

Why did Ben Affleck reach out to Jennifer Lopez?

 At the time when Jennifer had just come out of her relationship with Alex Rodriguez, Affleck had come out of his relationship with the actress Ana de Armas. Back then, Affleck had done an interview and got asked for a comment about Lopez. So he emailed her to let her know that he raved about her. 

But that one email turned out to be exactly what the couple had needed to reignite their love. They did not stop talking after and even started to visit each other at their homes. To this, Jennifer said, “I never shied away from the fact that for me, I always felt like there was a real love there, a true love there. People in my life know that he was a very, very special person in my life. When we reconnected, those feelings for me were still very real.”

They had a love for each other, but for them to come together again, they had to live years apart. 

Why had Jennifer broken up with Alex before coming into a relationship with Ben?

If the rumors are to be believed, the reason behind their breakup was Alex‘s infidelity toward Jennifer. However, the ex-couple has never spoken about the main reason behind their split in 2021.  Both cited that they will be better together as friends than a couple.
