Jennifer Lopez Turned to Ex-Flame Drake’s Hit Single to Respond to Breakup Rumors With Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez in 2021

Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez has always remained in the headlines for one reason or another. Very few legendary players have managed to grab media attention post-retirement like Rodriguez does. His romantic flings with celebrities further boosted his popularity. The most famous starry romance of Rodriguez’s life was with pop megastar Jennifer Lopez. 

‘A-Rod’ became a baseball great through his stellar performances on the baseball diamond. Additionally, his association with the New York Yankees and his love relationship with Lopez further elevated his star value. ‘A-Rod’ and Lopez became the perfect combination of royalty. Prior to dating ‘A-Rod’, Lopez dated rap music icon Drake. They dated briefly for a few months from December 2016 to February 2017. Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez began dating in 2017 and got engaged two years later in 2019. ‘A-Rod’ officially proposed to Lopez during a vacation in the Bahamas. They then scheduled their marriage in Italy in 2020. However, after a postponement to their marriage, news about their break up began surfacing in March 2021. 

Lopez then took to Instagram to post a video accompanied by Drake’s song, ‘Popstar.’ The video featured Lopez in the swimming pool, sipping a mimosa. The video was captioned ‘Sunday Mood.’ The breakup rumors came into the spotlight after cheating allegations on ‘A-Rod’. News spread all around, informing ‘A-Rod’ was cheating on Lopez with reality series star Madison LeCroy.

However, LeCroy publicly denied having an affair with ‘A-Rod’. Following on, Rodriguez and Lopez too released a joint statement saying, “All the reports are inaccurate. We are working through some things.” Nonetheless, Rodriguez and Lopez finally broke up in April 2021.

Post-breakup, Lopez soon reunited with her former lover and world-renowned actor, Ben Affleck. Lopez and Affleck got engaged within a few months and got married in 2022. While ‘A-Rod’ is allegedly dating fitness instructor and entrepreneur Jaclyn Cordeiro. However, neither of them has confirmed the update on their status.
