All-Star incredible infielder Jed Lowrie, with a career spanning over a decade and a half, has officially hung up his cleats. The veteran baseballer bid farewell to the sport he had dedicated his life to on Thursday. Lowrie, who played his final stint with the Oakland Athletics in 2022, had a brief stint with the New York Mets as well in 2019. Unfortunately, he was unable to make his mark on the field with the team that season due to a knee sprain that landed him on the injured list.
In his farewell writeup, Lowrie thanked fans of all the teams he had played for, including the Mets. However, some cheeky fans have responded sarcastically, suggesting that Lowrie need not have mentioned his stint with the Mets.
