To make his contract extension worth it, the player has been putting in the hard work and effort during his training. However, it was not just the dedication that caught the attention of the baseball world. It was also the interesting choice of fashion and gear that Cronenworth had chosen for his training session. 

Jake Cronenworth paid tribute to iconic Alex Morgan in an endearing way

Recently, San Diego Padres ‘Jake Cronenworth paid tribute to his fellow athlete, world soccer star, and San Diego Waves FC Captain, Alex Morgan. During a training session, the infielder was seen sporting Morgan’s number 13 jersey.

Annie Heilbrunn, a field reporter for the Padres, photographed the player during his batting drills and shared it on Twitter. While it has garnered praise from fans, yet, that’s not all. The soccer star herself took notice of the gesture and responded in kind. 

Morgan shared a GIF of herself in the thread, where she exuded style and swag while wearing a San Diego Padres jersey. The show of community between two of the biggest names in the sports world is certainly heartwarming!

From World Cup titles to philanthropic efforts, Alex Morgan has been quite busy, both, on and off the field. She has recently launched the Alex Morgan Foundation to empower women in football, as well as to support young girls and mothers in San Diego and beyond. 

In addition to her off-field efforts, Morgan continues to change the landscape of the soccer field, as seen in her recent match against the North Carolina Courage where she became the third top scorer in NWSL history, a feat which is not an easy one to achieve!
