Many Dodger players enjoyed their first celebration parade, including Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their 8th World Series title with a 4-1 victory over the New York Yankees. Despite being sidelined by injuries throughout the postseason, Kershaw was right at the heart of the celebrations. On Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers took to the streets for a World Series celebration. Most players were in celebratory mode, provided it was their first championship title, and Kershaw experienced a moment he had been waiting five years for—his very own title parade.
Clayton Kershaw, who celebrated his first World Series title in 2020, finally had the chance of a traditional championship parade after years of waiting. The Covid-19 pandemic had robbed him and the Dodgers of that special moment in 2020. Not this time though. In a video posted by the Dodgers official Instagram handle, Kershaw took the mic and addressed the whole stadium. “I’ve waited for this day for a long time. I can’t imagine being anywhere else tight now. And I can’t imagine doing it with a better group of boys.” He ended his speech by lifting up the trophy and chanting ‘Dodger for life’.
