There are a few pairs in baseball that are as talented as Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout. Both are MVP-caliber players in the prime of their careers. The two players’ concerned team, the Los Angeles Angels, is performing better this year with a playoff berth in sight. As a result, the Angles’ stars have developed a wonderful friendship, even off the field. Most recently, Trout shared a bombshell on a special release that Ohtani might be working on.
The two-way phenom is the king of MLB endorsements, and a massive gap between him and the next two earners. The release that Trout spoke of would put Ohtani among a particular category of players.

Getting a signature shoe is a big deal, especially for baseball stars, as only the best earn the chance. Most recently, while appearing on “On Base with Mookie Betts,” Mike Trout opened up on various topics. When asked who deserved a signature shoe, he said Shohei Ohtani within a few seconds. Trout has his signature shoes with Nike and has been the face of their baseball division for a few years now. Shortly after, he dropped a bomb.
During the episode, Trout said, “Um, you know…I think you gotta go with Shohei. I mean, that’s the easiest question. I think he’s got a shoe coming out, I think.” Trout also mentioned that Ohtani is signed with New Balance. So the two-way star may indeed be working on his own cleat. Earlier this year, he signed a new multi-year deal with the company.

Although nothing is clear about where Sho-time will sign in free agency, some favorites have appeared in the race. The Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, and New York Yankees appear to be among the teams with the best chance. All of them are big spenders and may have the most money available. But the San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants are also teams that are being floated around by experts as possible destinations.
