When the regular season started, probably no one imagined the Mets would be doing this good. But thanks to the management and the Mets owner Steve Cohen, who allowed management to sign some of the top talents of the league.
Right from the start of the regular season, the Mets have played seven series. And to surprise everyone, they have not lost a single series this season. Under the guidance of visionary Buck Showalter and veteran pitcher Max Scherzer, the Mets have become a force to reckon with.
Max Scherzer credits teamwork for their remarkable run in the 2022 MLB season
Especially this season, the Mets have been playing like a proper team. Every player contributes their part to the game and wins it for the Mets. Talking about teamwork, Scherzer said that he is not worried about his stats. At the end of the day, a win is all that will matter the most. He even appreciated the Mets’ offense for their dominating display against the Phillies.
“It’s not about me, it’s not about my stats or anything like that,” Scherzer said. “It’s about going out there and doing everything I can for the team and we come out with the win. That’s why it’s a great night. Everybody had a hand in it. Everybody was doing their job. And our offense did a really good job tonight.”

Having played for over 15 years in MLB, Scherzer probably has a better understanding of the game. He might have an off day from the mound, but the Mets ace knows how to keep his team motivated. At the Mets, his role has become more of a leader than a pitcher.
