Derek Jeter, the legendary shortstop of the New York Yankees, entered the apparel industry a few months ago with his own brand of sportswear. Being a former athlete, Jeter knows the importance of athleisure for top athletes. He knows what the athlete of today’s generation demand from their sportswear. Many prefer something that is durable, comfortable and does not hinder their performance in any way.  

Jeter’s brand, Greatness Wins, is the premium athleisure brand that not only fits the athletes of today but also the younger athletes. No matter the kind, shape, or size, Greatness Wins is for every modern athlete. The shortstop, who is one of the founders of the brand, expressed his excitement about this brand in one of his recent interviews.

What did Derek Jeter say about ‘Greatness Wins’?

Every athlete who is a co-founder of this brand has put in a lot of effort and tried to solve every problem that athletes face. It should not matter what kind of athlete it is; professional or casual, athleisure should be suitable for every one of them. 

“We just launched a couple of months ago and it’s built on performance. Performance first. I think that’s what’s most important: Comfort, consistency, quality, and fit. I’m extremely excited,” Jeter shared.

Until now, the brand was only for men and children, but in spring 2023, the collection specifically designed for women will be launching and becoming an integral part of the brand. Talking about the same, Jeter said, “We have a women’s line coming out next year. The great and compatible Misty Copeland led that design. I’m excited about it. I hope everyone else is excited about it as well.”

Then they teamed up with American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Misty Copeland. Along with her, they got Wayne Gretzky to launch the brand.
