Whether Aaron Judge will extend his contract with the New York Yankees or not, it is up to him and the Pinstripes. But from the fans’ perspective, if the Yankees fail to extend Judge, they might not get a player as good as him.
It is not that the Pinstripes have not offered an extension to Judge, but when the Yankees offered a long-term contract worth $213.5 million, Judge declined. And since then, he has been putting a show from the plate in almost every game.

Even though Aaron Judge is 30 years old, heavyweights like the Mets and Giants will not mind spending $300 million-plus for a plater of his caliber. Buster Olney and Tim Kurkjian discussed the same. They even believe that the Yankees will eventually surrender against Judge.
Would the Yankees offer a $300 million contract to Aaron Judge?
Had it not been for Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees would have become a mid-table team by now. Apart from his monstrous hitting, Judge is someone who knows how to lead the team. And given the lack of leadership in the Yankees clubhouse, the Pinstripes would not want to lose Judge for some money.
While discussing the same, ESPN’s Tim Kurkjian said the Yankees have no option but to offer a contract worth over $300 million.
“I think it’s going to start with a three ($300 million-plus)…,” said the ESPN analyst. “Because even though he is 30 years old, he is a great player. He is having an MVP season, and he is gonna hit 60 home runs. I just don’t know how the Yankees are going to get away, not giving him $300 million…”
Kurkjian also discussed the possibility of other franchises offering a bigger contract to Aaron Judge.

“if Aaron Judge potentially, we are making this up, could end up with the Mets or another contending team against the Yankees; How could the Yankees say no?… It’ll take a complete surrender by the Yankees,” Kurkjian added. “But if you are gonna surrender to anyone, I think Aaron Judge is one to surrender, too, given how well he has played this year.”
