With the career that Alex Rodriguez had in the three teams that he played in, his induction into the Hall of Fame was almost confirmed. But he cannot get into it, solely because of his usage of steroids.

Not once but twice, Alex tested positive for taking performance-enhancing drugs. He did not suffer any action when the first time he tested positive. But the second time, the Biogenesis scandal took him down.

“For me, it would mean everything. There’s no denying it, I mean when you strap it up when you’re a little kid, I mean you want to be a world champion and a Hall of Famer, you can make it up, right? That’s your dream. It would mean the world for me to get in and for my family,” Alex said that it was his dream to get inducted.

Furthermore, when the interviewer asked if he got inducted, who will be the first person he’ll tell it to? He said, “Probably my mom, my siblings, and then obviously my daughters.”

2021 was the first year for Alex to be eligible to become a Hall of Fame. The votes were due by Dec 31. Rodriguez received 34.3% of the vote from the Baseball Writers’ Association of America.

And for a player to get inducted, he needs at least 75% of the votes. Naturally, A-Rod did not go into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022. But he will be eligible for it for the next nine years, only if he crosses 5% votes.
