Back in the late 2010s, Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez made a darling couple in America. Even though the two belonged to different fields, A-Rod and Jennifer understood each other the best. After bidding farewell to the game in 2016, A-Rod found his love interest in the Hollywood star, Jennifer Lopez.

A-Rod and Jennifer dated for over four years. The two were even set to marry each other. However, things did not work out between them, and the celebrity couple called their relationship off in 2021. But during their relationship days, A-Rod and Jennifer always held each other’s back.

Even when the New York Yankees fired their then-manager, Joe Girardi, Jennifer backed her ex-fiancee, A-Rod, to become the new manager of the Pinstripes. However, it was not a possibility for the Yankees to hire a player who just retired a season back. And instead, they hired Aaron Boone (their current manager).

But given his experience and deep knowledge of the game, the former Yankee would bring something extra to the table. However, from the Yankees’ perspective, A-Rod was not even an option to lead their team.

It was A-Rod’s then-girlfriend, Jennifer Lopez, who hyped his name for the next Yankees manager. Taking to Twitter, she even shared an article titled, “The best and only choice for Yankees’ manager is obvious.” Notably, the article discussed why A-Rod should be the next Yankees manager.

Per TMZ Sports, A-Rod himself had publicly denied that he is not keen to become the Yankees manager.

A-Rod has played for three MLB franchises in his 22-year-long baseball career. But he has always been vocal about his love for the Pinstripes. And if given the chance, he will not mind managing the New York Yankees in the future.
