About the time she called the moments, she was recalling her ‘short love affair’ with a friend while having champagne. Not long after the words, “it could have been perfect!” she said, with the energy surging through her body, she broke the champagne glass in her hand.
Carey did not see the relationship with Jeter as long-term!
Even though the Yankee great received a few songs in his honor, the romance did not survive long. At the time of dating, the singer did feel like the former shortstop was the love of her life. But later she realized that it was just a way for her to get past her gloomy marriage.
