Humans make mistakes and will keep making them. There’s no doubt about that. But what makes a person a good human is if he owns up to his mistakes. And that’s what the former baseball legend, Alex Rodriguez did.
A couple of days ago, news of the young talent Fernando Tatis Jr. getting banned for 80 games came out. The reason behind him getting banned was that he tested positive for taking performance-enhancing drugs.

As this news came to light, A-Rod wants the younger talent to learn from his mistakes and not repeat them.
Alex Rodriguez is heartbroken over Tatis Jr’s PED usage
Tatis Jr just started his career merely two years ago and was playing for the San Diego Padres. He was playing as an outfielder and a shortstop. He is one of the great younger talents baseball has ever seen.
During the episode of KayRod Cast, which was featuring Derek Jeter, Ray asked A-Rod about his views on Tatis getting suspended, and he said, “I wish that a lot of these young players who I admire so much learned from my stupidity, and my debacle, and it almost brings me to tears to see a kid like Tatis who is 23 years old that for the rest of his career, he’s just going to play it out. There’s probably no hall of fame. I’m not going to the Hall of Fame probably because of my own mistake and that’s heartbreaking for me. It’s heartbreaking to explain it to my daughters, but that’s on me. I get to be now hopefully a better friend, a better business person, and most importantly a better father.”

Alex knows about the mistakes he made, he realised what he did, and he apologized for it as well.
Also, he does not want anybody else to go through the same. He wants players to learn from his mistake.
Will A-Rod mentor Tatis Jr after what happened?
Michael then asked A-Rod if he was willing to reach out to Tatis Jr, and he said, “No, but I’m always available to mentor.” Additionally, he said, “I was heartbroken.”
