But after the Bombers’ latest win over the Orioles, a stunning statistic was revealed. Kiner-Falefa is one of the most clutch players when the bases are loaded. Bombers fan Joe Randazzo shared some stats on Twitter from this season and last, making Kiner-Falefa’s impact clear.

Last season he batted .587 in 14 such plate appearances, whereas this year he has batted .667 with the bases loaded in 4 plate appearances before the latest game. In his latest appearance, IKF hit a 3-run double with the bases loaded to help the Bombers secure an 8-3 win. 

In a Tweet, Randazzo said, “Isiah Kiner-Falefa is the best hitter on the planet with the bases juiced dating back to last year. 2022: 14 PA: .583/.571/.1.000 2023 4 PA: .667/.500/.667 (Before tonight’s big hit)”. He then concluded the Tweet with a question, saying, “Would it be the worst thing in the world if the Yankees add two outfielders and start IKF at third? Since May he’s hitting .280/.343/.429 with a 114 wRC+.”
