If it was not his pitching skills that made him one of the most talked about entities in the baseball world, Yoshinobu Yamammoto‘s MLB deal has certainly done that. Notably, the 25-year World Baseball Classic-winning star signed a $325 million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers, becoming the pitcher with the biggest contract in the MLB, surpassing Yankees’ Gerrit Cole. As with this, Yamamoto broke the history record, and all eyes fell on him, with a considerable percentage turning into his admirers. On a personal note, it also brought many questions, including, is he single?

Every achievement on the major stage brings stardom for players to cherish. But this also put their lives under scrutiny, with fans wanting to know more about them. This is true with Yamamoto, as everyone wants to know about his relationship. But having come from a Japanese background, where only a few players have been vocal about it in public, the question becomes prominent. So, is there any answer to it?

Well, from the looks of things, the three-time NPB MVP, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, is still single. The Japanese ace does not seem to be dating anyone, and there is no thread or sign of a partner in his past life. Well, this answers his success in the baseball journey on the national and international stage due to all the focus he has put in becoming the best pitcher.

His NPB statistics verify this. Notably, Yamamoto has pitched to perfection, with a win percentage of 0.714 in seven seasons. Plus, with an ERA, the 25-year-old has claimed 986 strikeouts at 9.2 strikes per 9 innings. Amazing! But does not it resemble another Japanese and baseball most admired player, Shohei Ohtani?

Given that both have played together and are known to each other, both share similar thoughts and have an understanding. It seems Yamamoto plans to bring that understanding into his personal life following Ohtani, who never confirmed his relationship with Kamalani Dung. The reason is that of anonymity surrounding a $700 million star’s personal life. But is there any reason behind it? Maybe focus on a bigger goal?

All the Anonymity Because of a World Series Dream?

Love, fame, and fan following are all good until they start affecting professional life. This is why Derek Jeter always kept his life private to avoid negativity. Guess what? He is one of the best who has played the game with championships. In one way or another, Shohei Ohtani does succeed them. Even though he has yet to win a World Series, his success on the mound justified this.

But given that the chase for that elusive trophy is still on, Ohtani does not want to leave the focus. Being a teammate, Yamamoto would like to compliment him by choosing a path of anonymity. It makes sense, as they both cherish the same dream. It will be interesting to see how it helps them in the upcoming season. Will the Japanese duo have another trophy together? Only time can tell.
