As the MLB season reaches its midpoint, the All-Star celebrations are in full swing. Fans eagerly anticipate the pinnacle of the All-Star game, where their beloved players come face to face. However, preceding this highly anticipated event is the Celebrity Softball game. Remarkably, this year’s edition sparked controversy even before the game commenced, as two renowned actors engaged in a heated exchange of words.

‘Pitch Perfect’ star Adam DeVine started the war of words while aiming at ‘Community’ megastar Joel McHale. The two aimed jibes at each other as the game drew closer. But it will be interesting to see who takes home bragging rights. Last year, soaring ticket prices took headlines, but now these actors are stealing the spotlight.

As the Celebrity All-Star game was underway in Seattle, tensions started to flare between some participants. Adam DeVine aimed Joel McHale with harsh words, including a “verbal diarrhea” moniker. The “Community” star hit back at DeVine while calling him self-obsessed.

Yahoo Sports shared a video of the two exchanging words on Twitter as the competition heats up. In the video, DeVine first says, “Joel McHale won’t shut up. Okay, that guy will not shut up. Whether it’s trash or not, he has verbal diarrhea. So, I really would like to put Joel in his place.”

In reply to this, McHale says, “Well, you have to get a word in edgewise with Adam ‘cause he’s constantly complimenting himself. And, he’s constantly talking about all his credits and everything he’s done.” He went so far as to ridicule DeVine’s appearance.

“But at the end of the day, as you know, like I mean he’s got great hair, but of course, he’s 4’11”. So that makes the batter’s box smaller, which is an advantage. But I, you’re going to, we’re going to, they’re probably not going to even score. They’re going to negative score.” The two have set up a perfect rivalry as the game progresses.
