Every year, to mark the symbolic halfway mark of the running MLB season, two teams, one from the National League and one from the American League, play an All-Star game. The fans, players, and team managers select the players for this game. Today, with its glorified history, the MLB All-Star game is a celebrated tradition across North America in the second and third week of July. Along these lines, Dodgers part-owner Todd Boehly has a suggestion for the Premier League.

Todd Boehly proposes a new idea for the future of the Premier League
Todd Boehly, who also chairs Premier League team Chelsea, suggested a new implementation for the Premier League. Boehly said, “Ultimately I hope the Premier League takes a little bit of a lesson from American sports,” said Boehly. “And really starts to figure out, why don’t we do a tournament with the bottom four sports teams, why isn’t there an All-Star game? He adds, “People are talking about more money for the pyramid, in the MLB All-Star game this year we made 200m dollars from a Monday and a Tuesday.”

Jürgen Klopp, manager of Liverpool, while opposing this thought of the Dodgers owner, said, “He forgets in American sports these players have four-month breaks so they are quite happy they can do a little bit of sport in these breaks. It’s completely different in football.” He adds, “I’m not sure people want to see that. Imagine that, [Manchester] United, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle players all on one team that’s not the national team, just a north team. Interesting game.”
All in all, the idea of further Westernizing or Americanizing ‘football’ may or may not sit well with a traditional English-based soccer fan. But only time can tell that. But Todd’s recent purchase of the Dodgers franchise fashions his decision in a way that one can say might take away the originality of the Premier League.
Who holds the record for most All-Star appearances in the MLB?
Henry Aaron holds the record for most All-Star appearances at 25. Hank Aaron made his MLB debut in 1954 and played till 1976. Throughout his 23-season career, he made 25 consecutive All-Star appearances in essentially every season he played. This record is bound to go down in history as unbeatable. Amongst players who are yet to play the game for a long time, Mike Trout leads the list with 10 All-Star appearances.
Which modern-day MLB star will end with the most All-Star appearances? Or rather, will any modern-day MLB player be able to match the talents of their predecessors?
