Jeter got nicknamed ‘Captain Clutch’ because of how he could turn games around. He did hit rough patches during his career like everyone else. But each struggle of his was short-lived. That was because Jeter wasn’t afraid of failure and never let pressure dismantle him.??

In an interview, the host once asked Jeter, “How do you approach those pressure situations?” To which Jeter replied, “Yeah, I’ve been in a lot of them. I think the biggest thing is you just try not to put too much pressure on yourself. I think the more pressure you put on yourself, the quicker things will happen.”?

Jeter added,?“You just try to be calm. It doesn’t mean you’re gonna be successful. I’ve failed a lot more times than I’ve succeeded. But I’m not afraid of being in these situations.”
Jeter: Life after the play ended?
Post-retirement, Jeter joined the ownership group of the Miami Marlins in 2017. It was Jeter’s passion for the sport that kept him connected beyond active involvement. Nonetheless, his reign as the Marlins’ administrator didn’t prove to be much effective. So he gave his resignation in 2022 and got settled into happy family life.?
