“I’m a Little Heartbroken”- Alex Rodriguez’s Ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez Once Reluctantly Accepted a Cold Truth on Their Wedding

The pandemic ruined a lot of plans for almost everyone, but engaged people hoping to get married in 2020 were especially frustrated. Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez were one such couple who started dating in February 2017 and got engaged in 2019. The initial plan was to get married in the summer of 2020, but they had to postpone twice due to continuous lockdowns.

Both J-Lo and A-Rod had publicly commented about their disappointment at not being able to follow through with their plans. But they were still optimistic about a better future. Maybe whatever was to come next would be even greater than what they had planned. But that didn’t stop them from feeling sad, and Lopez talked about how she was devastated at the delay.

The superstar couple had been organizing a summer wedding in Italy when all plans were dashed by COVID-19. World of Dance judge said she had been planning to take time off after the show was over and have some quality family time. JLo admitted that the lockdown meant everyone was on a break anyway, but it also meant everything was on hold indefinitely.

Lopez added, “I’m a little heartbroken because we did have some great plans but I’m also like, you know what? God has a bigger plan so we just have to wait and see.” She said, “Maybe it’s going to be better. I have to believe that it will be.”

The now 53-year-old later said in another interview that she and Rodriguez wanted to have a perfect wedding, the way they had talked about before. They were in no rush and were ready to believe that good things would come in time.

Both Lopez and Rodriguez are parents of two kids each from previous marriages. Just because they couldn’t tie the knot didn’t mean they couldn’t still focus on their family. They could make it official anytime in the future. Lopez has cited Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn’s relationship as inspiration for a romance. For those unversed, the popular actors are unmarried but have been together for 38 years.
