He had shared his plans to own a baseball team, but the question remained, will it be a New York Yankees? According to extratv.com, Jeter had a funny answer to this. He shared, If you loan me some money, maybe I could have the opportunity to own this team… this is a very expensive team.”

During his time at the Yankees, Jeter played 2,747 games. He recorded 1,923 runs at an average of 0.310 and was involved in 1311 RBIs. The Yankees’ great has 280 home runs and an OPS of 0.817. The 2009 World Seriers champion was part of the All-Star team 14 times. Jeter is the winner of five World Series titles and has five Gold Glove Awards and five Silver Slugger Awards. All the success during his career put him in the Baseball Hall of Fame.

Jeter as the CEO of the Miami Marlins!

Jeter was open to the possibility of owning the MLB franchise. He got the opportunity and joined the Marlins as a minority owner in September 2017 after the franchise acquisition by Bruce Sherman-led group. Jeter worked for the Miami Marlins with dual responsibility, stepping out before the start of the 2022 season.

He was at the helm as a CEO with a minority stake and overlooked the team operations during this time. Jeter left the Marlins with a record of 218-327 during his four seasons. With his exit from the Marlins last year, the possibility of joining the New York Yankees as an owner has increased. Will the MLB great join the New York-based franchise in the future?
