Once in summer Bonds met the media for his “State of Barry.” At one point during the conversation, Bonds insisted that he does not hold grudges, pointing to the media reporters and saying, “If I did, I would punch you.” Then he turned towards Henry Schulman of the Chronicle and added, “And I’d have punched you a long time ago.” This is not the first time he has threatened someone openly.
In the past, he was always quick to react aggressively to things, which is one of the reasons why he does not have many admirers. Moreover, he is famously known for making controversial statements.

Similarly, while appearing for an episode of The One and Only Barry Bonds” he mentioned his personality. He stated that he is a tough guy to be friends with and is not the best clubhouse guy.
