Alex Rodriguez might not be the best baseball player, and at times, he has seen several ups and downs in his personal life, too. But when it comes down to his family, the former New York Yankees legend has always family ahead of anything.

Dating back to the 2014 MLB season, the then-Yankees slugger did not play a single game because of his PEDs suspension. Not anyone else, but only A-Rod suffered the most from his suspension. But even during those dark days, the Yankees legend took the best possible care of his loved ones.
Alex Rodriguez did not want his daughters to get affected by his suspension
It is not a secret that Alex Rodriguez suffered a-year-long ban because of PEDs consumption during his younger days in MLB. And when he accepted his fault, MLB banned him from playing baseball for a year.

While discussing the same with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb of TODAY, the former Yankee said he would daughters’ nanny to remove all the newspapers every morning during his suspension days.
The Pinstripes legend said it was fearful for him to imagine his daughters watching all the negative news about their father.
Alex Rodriguez said he deserved his suspension.

“Look, my low days, during the suspension, I would wake and the papers (newspapers) were all nasty… Because I deserved it. I would wake and my girls, and before taking them to school, I would tell my beautiful nanny, her name is Denise… Let’s get rid of all the papers. It was fearful…,” Alex Rodriguez said in 2018.

Did A-Rod miss his prime years because of the PEDs suspension?
When MLB banned Alex Rodriguez in the 2014 season, the then-Yankees slugger was enjoying his prime years in the game. But it is a pity that he missed his prime years because of a mistake he committed a decade ago.
