In the mega ceremony last evening, Judge revealed his reaction to being informed about his appointment as the Yankees captain. And it was none other than the Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner, who broke this news to his star outfielder. I was on the phone with Hal, and he explained how important that honor is to the organization. He presented it to me, and I was at a loss for words. I was pretty taken aback because that’s such an incredible honor.”
