Under normal circumstances, Sammy Sosa would have been elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame on his first ballot. But the circumstances are far from normal for the Cubs legend. In 2009, The New York Times named Sosa as one of more than 100 MLB players who tested positive for Performance-enhancing drugs during 2003?s Spring Training. Most recently, the superstar slugger opened up on making the Hall. He seems resigned to the fact that he has a low chance of making it to Cooperstown. MLB insider Hector Gomez shared Sosa?s statement via Twitter.

According to a translated version of the Tweet, Sosa said, ?I wish the best to those who have been exalted. I want to be a Hall of Famer in heaven, not on earth. With my peace I am happy; if it happens, fine, if not, I’m happy. My numbers can never be erased from the board. Nothing and no one can erase them.??

Most experts argue against steroid users being allowed into the Hall Of Fame, but one MLB pundit argued otherwise using a bizarre analogy. Despite that, it is unlikely that Sosa makes the Hall, even though he has a chance via The Contemporary Baseball Era Players Committee.
