“I Thought I Was Going to Die”- Derek Jeter’s Supermodel Ex Once Underwent an Emergency Surgery Soon After Becoming a Bodybuilding Professional

New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter had quite a few relationships in his life before getting married to supermodel Hannah Davis. Since the former shortstop was keen on making his personal life stay personal, most of his relationships did not see the sunlight.

And Playboy’s famed Cuban model, Vida Guerra, was one of the women that Captain Clutch said to have dated in his bachelor days.

Also known as Queen of Curves, the Cuban model in 2011 became the International Federation of BodyBuilding and Fitness Bikini pro. It was the same year that the model underwent a second breast implant surgery, changing saline implants to silicone ones. But after a short while, they also started having complications that had a major risk to her life.

And she had to go through another major surgery to avoid any complications.

The Cuban model had to have yet another surgery to save her life!

After going under the knife intentionally twice to save her life, Guerra had to undergo an emergent surgery to save her life. Although there is nothing wrong with going under the knife to look their best, in Jeter’s ex-girlfriend’s case, things went sideways. Unfortunately, with Guerra, her implants had become toxic to her body, and she needed emergency surgery.

Back in 2014, the Cuban model shared her experience of the surgery. She confessed, “I was in a lot of pain. I was crying. I thought I was going to die.”

However, the emergent surgery became successful. And, after learning from experience, she started talking about what a person should consider before going for plastic surgery. 

When did Derek Jeter date Guerra?

Five years before the model went under the knife, she dated the former shortstop in 2005. The couple only lasted for a year, but ended things on good terms with each other. They started dating soon after Guerra became FHM’s model of the year.

The same year, 2005, was also great for Captain Clutch. He won his second Golden Glove award that year and finished second in the race for AL’s most RBIs.
