Alex Rodriguez is as famous for his exploits off the field as he is on it. The New York Yankees great famously had many high-profile romantic relationships that caught media attention. One of the biggest ones was, of course, his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis in 2002. Although the former couple has been divorced since 2008, they still maintain a good friendship.

Sharing two daughters, Natasha and Ella, has brought them together as they co-parent the teenagers. Although each leads their own life with different romantic partners now, they still have a parenting tip or two to share. But did they come at the cost of Rodriguez’s girlfriend, Jac Cordeiro?

Alex Rodriguez Is Immensely Grateful Cynthia Scurtis

In a candid interview with US Weekly, A-Rod opened up about how he goes about parenting his daughters and how Scurtis has impacted his life. “It’s pretty awesome,” he tells Kaitlin Simpson. “I think we always put the kids first and as we both get older, our gratitude grows tremendously.”

The couple went through their fair share of rollercoasters in their early days of divorce but their kids brought them together. And Rodriguez is clearly appreciative of having a co-parent like Scurtis with him.

The family often gets together to celebrate festivals and events, and they even went on holiday in Europe recently. Interestingly, some of the former Yankee’s romantic partners have met Scurtis, including Jac Cordeiro. And just moments before praising his ex-wife, A-Rod seemingly snubbed his girlfriend.

A-Rod Deals a Cruel Rebuff to Jac Cordeiro

The fitness-obsessed duo has been together since last October, making things social media official at Christmas 2022. They’re still going strong and share health goals as one of the main things in common. Rodriguez even joked that his fitness guru partner might be more athletic than him, as a former professional baseballer.

But right at the beginning of the discussion, he says, “We all need Cynthia. … That’s one of the things I’m probably most proud of in my entire life. Forget the home runs [and] the championship, Like to be able to co-parent [with her] and Cynthia being my best friend.”

Cordeiro is also a mother to two girls but what is notable here is that A-Rod calls Scurtis his best friend rather than his girlfriend, as one would imagine. In most likelihood, it was a careless comment but some would perceive it otherwise!
