With baseball back in action, the offseason is finally over. Needless to say, the 2022 offseason remained captivating until its end a couple of days ago. Aside from Aaron Judge and Carlos Correa‘s free agency turmoil, many exciting deals have taken place in the offseason. While some trades stood out more than the rest because of the massive deals, a former World Series champ with the Chicago Cubs did not forget to diss his previous organization while praising his current team, the St. Louis Cardinals.
Overall, the offseason managed to keep the baseball fans on their edge, anticipating what was coming next. Little did they know that Willson Contreras wanted the trade more than anyone. After spending seven years with the Cubs, Contreras parted ways with the 2016 World Series champs. However, the three times All-Star is undoubtedly not fond of his previous organization. Also, he is not leaving any chance to talk about the discontent.

Baseball fans are excited about the Cardinals’ latest acquisition
The rivalry between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Chicago Cubs is one of the most bitter rivalries in MLB, dating back over 125 years. Even though the Cubs fans are unhappy with Contreras going over to the Cardinals, they still wish him the best for his future.
Here’s how the fans reacted to the sluggers’ words:
Cubs fan here. Front office treated him as expendable, so I don't blame his ire at us. Love you, Wil.

I’ll always miss him being a Cub. He has earned the right to like the Cards more. Management did not treat him well in Chicago
