Bidding goodbye to the desired goal is always painful and emotional. Especially when one loses the dream after cashing it for a long time. Even after a blasting start to the NLCS journey, the situation dramatically turned for the Philadelphia Phillies, where the Arizona Diamondbacks took the series 4-3. In this process, they shattered the World Series dream of the Phillies. While Bryce Harper was leading the team towards another World Series fight, like he did a year back, all efforts were ruined. After the Game 7 defeat, the star outfielder expressed his emotional message to his fans and the city of Philadelphia.

The Phillies were progressing gloriously this season, but at the last moment, they got the biggest hit. What is more pathetic is the D-backs took the series in the Phillies’ home ground, Citizens Bank Park. Though the Phillies were pretty confident about their win before the game, their strategy miserably failed.

It really is.” Further, the manager stated how his faith has been destroyed, “I told the club if you asked me two days ago, two weeks ago, two months ago if we would be going home tonight, I would have said no. So that?s how much belief I have in this club.”

Amidst this devastating situation, the manager even showed his sportsman’s spirit to praise the opponent. Appreciating the Diamondbacks, he expressed, “That?s a good club, and they really played well.“?Talking about their pitching, he said, “They pitched well. They really did.?
