Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez’s love story was nothing short of a fairytale. The two were each other’s biggest cheerleaders, standing by each other through thick and thin. However, in 2021, the couple announced their separation, bringing an end to their romance. 

The two shared their unique bond and even shared some unconventional experiences together. It is certainly true that the two were each other’s biggest supporters, and it may sound awkward, but that support extended to visiting strip clubs together.

Before one jumps to any conclusions, their visit to a strip club was not for any salacious reasons. In 2019, Jennifer Lopez’s new movie Hustlers hit the theaters, where she played a character of a stripper. But before she could bring her character to life, she needed to research the profession by visiting strip clubs firsthand.

Little did she know, her then-partner, Alex Rodriguez, was a veritable font of knowledge on the subject. He had some past experience with strip clubs, as Lopez narrated his words, “I was a baseball player. Athletes, we go to strip clubs.” A-Rod was more than happy to offer his insights and even accompany her on her research journey. 

In an interview with Seth Meyers, Lopez shared that when she told A-Rod about her movie and the character she was going to play, he said, “I know everything you need to know” about strip clubs. And he was not wrong, he did give her great insight from that side of it, as she narrated very excitedly.

And it seems like A-Rod’s advice worked. Not only was ‘Hustlers’ a highly acclaimed crime drama film, but JLo also received a nomination for her role in the Golden Globe awards. The movie tells a story of a group of strippers who decide to take matters into their own hands and scam their wealthy Wall Street clients.

The film, directed by Lorene Scafaria, is based on a true story that was first reported in a 2015 New York magazine article by Jessica Pressler. This just goes on to show that everyone needs someone in their lives who could support them every step of the way. Just like A-Rod did right then for Jlo.
