Almost every Judge fan wants him to stay as a New York Yankee, only if the management offers him a contract that suits him. Earlier this year, the Yankees’ management offered the outfielder a contract of $213.5 million for seven years. But thinking that he deserves more than that, he turned down the contract. And the outfielder proved that he deserves way more than what he got offered as he won the AL’s Hank Aaron Award this year.

But when Jeter got asked about it, he said that he doesn’t know what advice he should be giving to Judge on choosing which team to go to.

What did Derek Jeter say about the free agent Aaron Judge?

Considering that the former shortstop Derek Jeter was also a free agent at one time, asking him for advice for Aaron Judge seems right. But considering that Jeter does not know one thing about how Judge is handling his free agency, he does not know what to say.

“I have no idea what you’re going through,” said Jeter on giving advice to Judge.

He further added, ” I mean you’re in a good position where you have options. I think everyone wants to have options. Now, it’s up to you whether or not you’re gonna explore those options. But really I can’t offer much on that.”

As much as the fans want All Rise to stay as a Yankee, they also want it to happen if the outfielder himself wants the same thing. Also, Judge has dropped quite a few hints that he might be wearing Pinstripes for quite a while.

How did Jeter handle his free agency?

Jeter had remained a forever Yankee, so it is hard to think of a time when he wasn’t. But after the 2010 season, Jeter had, in fact, become a free agent.

Jeter, like Judge, also had many options to choose from, including the arch-rival of the Yankees, the Boston Red Sox. Eventually, Jeter signed a deal with the Yankees for $51 million for three years.
