The New York Yankees re-signed one of the important members and it is not their former outfielder, Aaron Judge. The front office re-signed the longest-tenured General Manager of their history, Brian Cashman. After having served for twenty-five years, Cashman signed another contract of four years as the GM and team’s senior vice president.

Notably, Cashman was asked the question that is in almost every Yankee fan’s mind. What would happen if Aaron Judge signs with some other team? He did give the answer but in an ineffectual manner. Soon as he did that, it started to raise questions about his efficiency as a General Manager of the franchise.

Members of the front office have previously said that they want to re-sign Judge. They have also said that they’d be doing everything in their power to have him back on the team. But Cashman’s recent statement has put the fans in doubt of his capability as the GM.

Brian Cashman reveals Aaron Judge’s replacement

Under his tenure from 1998, the New York Yankees have won four World Series, with the last one being in 2009. Cashman, like others in baseball, is waiting for All Rise’s decision. For those unversed, the Yankees have offered Judge a $300 million contract for eight years. But Judge still has to speak on the topic.

Cashman saying, “I have no idea,” and not having any backup plan if things don’t go his way is not a thing anyone would have expected from him. Yankee fans want to know what their team would be doing if Judge doesn’t re-sign. He has been one of the crucial parts of the team and has shown the baseball world what he’s capable of achieving.

Nonetheless, Cashman’s reply to the question has not only questioned his capability as a senior executive but has put the team’s future in uncertainty.

Fans react to Cashman’s statement

Fans are saying that since he has over three decades of experience working with the Yankees, he should at least have a plan for the team.

Worse than an utter nightmare?

It might be true!
