Stroman has been impactful with his throws while being on the mound. Watchmarquee shared a video of him answering questions about his throwing. The caption read,” He?s a shortstop at heart”.
Stroman said in the video, “I mean, I’m a shortstop at heart. I still am. I play shortstop in the second base in college, so I’ll go out there and take ground balls routinely.”

He then answers the question of his ever-improving thr0wing skills, “Part of the reason why I’m good mechanically is because I’m an athlete. People don’t understand that. Notably, Stroman has a jump that reminds the world of MLB great Derek Jeter. It is to be noted that the Yankees legend was one of the best throwers in the MLB during his playing days. He once shocked the world with one of the best throws with a ridiculous jump in the 1998 MLB season. Jeter was a shortstop too, which eventually goes with Stroman’s feeling of shortstop at heart.
Meanwhile, the pitcher has done well and has a win-loss record of 4-4 so far in the season. Stroman has an ERA of 2.95 and has claimed 54 strikeouts at a WHIP of 1.04. If the Cubs continue their good baseball for the rest of the season, they will remain in the race for the playoffs. Stroman would look to make a mark, and it will be interesting to see how he performs in the rest of the season. How many records will Stroman make this season? Only time will tell!
