The two-time All-Star, New York Yankees player Joey Gallo has talked about his time on the team, how he played and how he should have played.

Gallo was selected in the first draft of MLB 2012 for the Texas Rangers and had his debut for MLB in 2015. He finally got traded to the New York Yankees in 2021 and signed a one-year contract with them.

Is Joey Gallo about to be traded?

The New York Yankees have acquired a left outfielder, Andrew Benintendi, in exchange for right-hander Chandler Champlain, left-hander T.J. Sikkema and right-hander Beck Way.?

The 28-year-old player reflected on his thoughts after outfielder Benintendi joined the Yankees. Gallo has signed a one-year contract with the Yankees, which is about to end, and he will become a free agent after this season ends.

?Every time I see a Yankees hat, every time I see a Yankees jersey, it?s something I?m going to have to understand,? Gallo said at Yankee Stadium on Thursday. ?I didn?t play well as a Yankee. I wish I had.?

Sometimes, you work hard enough, and still, it does not pay off. Gallo has hoped to remain a Yankee, but that does not seem like happening.?

?When I see my numbers, I feel like I?ve played better than that,? Gallo said. ?There are a couple of things mechanically that I think I could have been better about monitoring. Baseball is a weird game. You can be doing something slightly wrong, and in baseball, you just start doing it every day, and it starts to become a habit you don?t notice. I just feel like something here got out of rhythm, out of whack.?

Sometimes, luck doesn’t help us out, and maybe that’s what happened with Gallo in the New York Yankees.?

Gallo is ready to move on

Gallo is ready for a fresh start outside of New York City. His future in the Yankees was kind of set when the team acquired outfielder Benintendi Wednesday night.?

According to a?source, ?He?s waiting for something to happen.? Apparently, Joey is ready to move on from the Yankees and is hoping to become a part of the San Diego Padres team. The source also added that the general manager of the Padres, A. J. Preller, was a Ranger’s executive when Gallo played for them. Also, Preller tried to recruit Gallo to the Padres before the Yankees.?

He has struggled with the Yankees. Gallo has admitted that it is not easy to deal with the media. And all the criticism that comes his way.?
